Parenting moments are played out with real child characters; each carries its own resistance, its own logic. Personal Practices set a completely different tempo — no one is across from you, only a few minutes and your own mind. This space stays entirely personal; neither your employer nor your manager can reach it. In parenting rehearsals the characters push back realistically — they are not easily convinced, just like a real child. Personal Practices serve a different purpose altogether: after a hard day, they help you gather your mind in a few minutes.
